CD Recordings

Shining Star

Well the summer long practice sessions paid off with the band on top form for the weekend-long recording in early October. More than 70 minutes of Christmas music on 19 tracks featuring the Senior Band, three items from the Junior Band, a solo from Bacup-based tenor Sean Ruane and one from saxophonist Archie Taylor.

We were promised the finished product by the end of November and that’s exactly what happened, giving us the full Christmas period to sell them.

Sales have been brisk to parents, patrons and concert goers with some 400 having been sold already which means that production costs have been covered and every sale from now on is pure profit for the group.

Feedback from buyers has been extremely positive. If you haven’t yet bought your copy, and many patrons still haven’t, you can order one from Russell Helm and it will be sent out to you or you can buy one at any concert that we are doing in 2016.
